LOVE BUGS PETS SITTING: Terms of Agreement for Pet Care Services

Payments:
All services are to be paid in full at the time of the booking or first day of service for (new clients) by cash or card to Love Bugs Pets Sitting. Failure to pay your bill within five (5) days and or if you are on a monthly payment schedule with Love Bugs, $20 late fee will be added to your bill. Returned check fee: $35 plus bank fees will be billed to your account for all returned checks.


Cancellations:
48-hour notice is required for all vacation/business travel or client will be billed 1 visit fee for booked services. For all daily visits, Love Bugs must be notified by 7am of day of service or client will be billed in full for booked services. In the event of an early return from a trip, no refunds or credits are given as we have reserved that time for your pet care.

** All overnight care canceled with 72 hours will be charged 50% of booked visits as of 1/1/2022.

Overnight Stays:
Love Bugs requires a minimum of 2x day visit for dogs. All dogs will be visited no less than every 12 hours. Cats no less than once every 24 hours but strongly recommend every 12 hours. This is to ensure the health and safety of your fur babies.

Reserving a Booking/Online Profile:
Love Bugs uses a safe and encrypted online scheduling system called Precise Pet Care. We require all of our clients to schedule their pet visits through this system and to keep their profiles up to date. The information in the system is what we rely on for the most up to date information about your pet(s).

Confirmation Process:
All reservations will be confirmed by email. If you haven't received an email or phone confirmation, your reservation may not be secure and we ask that you please call or text before you leave to verify that we have you scheduled.

Client Return:
Client must notify us when you have returned home. Love Bugs must know that your pets are being cared for and no additional visits are required. No matter how late you return, please text or email, otherwise a sitter will return to your home for an additional visit and you will be billed.

Pet Behavior/Damage/Medical Expense:
If a pet has a history of biting or other aggressive behavior, Love Bugs Pet Sitting reserves the right to refuse service. Client will be responsible for all medical expenses and damages resulting from injury to the pet sitter or other persons by the pet. Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Love Bugs in the event of a claim by any person injured by the pet. Client also agrees that it is their responsibility to notify Love Bugs of any pet that has caused any injury to any human.

Unsecured Pets:
Love Bugs is not responsible for or will not be liable for free roaming outdoor pets in the event of any fines, illness, injury, loss or death. This includes pets that are secured with invisible fencing. It is strongly advised that all pets have identification and that they remain inside the home or confined to a yard or pen for their own safety and welfare in your absence.

Emergency Care:
Client also authorizes Love Bugs & authorized sitters to obtain any emergency veterinary care that may be necessary during the time spent with your pet. Client accepts responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care. Client also authorizes Cassie Smrekar/Megan Smrekar to utilize an alternative veterinarian in the event that your primary veterinarian is unavailable. Every effort will be made to contact the owner prior to obtaining emergency care.

Emergency Contact:
This should be a person close enough to walk to your home (for example, a neighbor). In the event of personal emergency, illness or injury regarding the pet sitter, this information is needed so that we can contact this person to request their assistance to check on your pet(s). In the event that you do not provide a nearby emergency contact with access to your home, client realizes that Love Bugs will provide service by sending another sitter to fulfill the responsibilities.

Inclement Weather:
Primarily severe storms, tornados, snow/ice conditions, etc. You will entrust Love Bugs to use best judgment in caring for your pet(s) and home if we are servicing you at the time of inclement weather. Love Bugs will try to carry out your instructions to the best of our ability. The care we provide for our client's pets and their safety is our first concern. Every effort will be made to drive to your home. The service schedule may be changed, interrupted, or altered due to circumstances. If it is not possible to drive safely to your home, your emergency contact will be notified and you will also notified. Please remember that garage door openers are not operational in the event of power outages.

Security of Premises / Access to Home By Others:
Love Bugs accepts no responsibility for security of the premises, any damages, loss, or injuries to your home or pet(s) if directly or indirectly by the actions or negligence of other individuals who may have access to the home during the term of this agreement. Client must notify Love Bugs if others (friends, family, service contractors, etc.) will have access to the home during an absence by the owner. Pet care will be performed only by Love Bugs during all assignments unless prearranged with Client.

Security Systems:
Love Bugs is not liable for any charges, fines, or other damages resulting from the malfunction or unintended triggering of a security system.


Loss or Damage:
Love Bugs is not liable for any loss or damage in the event of a burglary or other crime that should occur while under this contract. Client agrees to secure the home prior to leaving the premises. Love Bugs will re-secure the homes at the best of his/her ability at the end of each visit.

Termination:
Love Bugs reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time if the pet sitter, in his/her sole discretion determines that client's pet poses a danger to the health or safety of itself, other pets, other people, or the pet sitter. If concerns prohibit the pet sitter from caring for the pet, the client authorizes the pet to be placed in a kennel (or previously arranged locale) with all charges (including but not limited to transportation, kenneling, tranquilizing, treating, accessing, and liability) to be the responsibility of the client.

Photos:
Client authorizes Love Bugs and Pet Sitters to take photos of client's pet for file. All photos taken will not be used on business website without pet owner permission.


Future Services:
Client authorizes this signed agreement to be valid for future services without additional signed agreements or written authorization.
I,____________________________ have read, and understand and agree to the policies and guidelines of Love Bugs Pet Sitting. I further understand that a copy of this form will be kept on file for documentary purposes. All policies and guidelines are subject to change at the discretion of Love Bugs Pets Sitting.
